Why El Razi

El Razi College of Medical and Technology sciences was established on 2001 with world class specification, it focused on the implementation of its programs depending on high technology, quality control and procurement of qualified scientific expertise with high experience. That is because of it is believe in the principle of enabling the next generations from having places on the seats of high education and expanding educational opportunities in order to qualify them for a bright tomorrow filled with giving and hope.

The College was established on an area of 15,000 square meters in the Al Azhari city south of Al Khartoum. It contains Dental clinics in addition to Pharmacy, Medicine and Dental Technology college’s laboratories. The building also includes 18 study halls equipped with the latest audio and visual educational means, A modern extensive library, A club for the students along with the administrative buildings and the morgue. As a future plan the College seeks to add new specialties and educational programs in order to cover needs in different areas. The primarily designs to establish a teaching hospital following the College has been initiated. The hospital located near the College with an area of 20,000 meters in order to develop scientific student’s potential and servicing the community.

El Rasi College aims at being a foundation of higher education utilizing the most modern educational means and curriculum. The student is the College’s number one priority. The College endeavors to have students reach their highest potential through strengthening interaction between students, urging them to work hard, and instilling in them the desire to develop their own personal and cognitive skills so that they become active members of the society. The University is conscious of its leading role in the society at large. Hence, it seeks to create an atmosphere conducive to developing its students’ intellectual capabilities driven by scientific and logical reasoning.

Recognition of the college:
The chairman and members of the Sudanese Medical Council have visited the College. They have inspected the College potentials on the angles of Academia and special equipments in every program.
The College has been recognized and its graduates from the colleges of Dentistry, pharmacy and Dental technology have been registered and currently working in Sudan and aboard.

Graduated batches:
Since the establishment of the College, three batches have graduated from the College of Dentistry, two batches from the college of pharmacy and five batches from the Dental technology program.
They were registered in the Sudanese Medical Council and they were absorbed by various institutes in the country.
As the Medicine program is considered one of the newest programs adopted by the College, the number of batches handled for now is 3 and the college is getting ready to receive the fourth batch of 2008-2009.

Internal affairs of the College:

The College have signed an agreement with the following colleges:
National College
Khartoum College of Medical sciences.
International university of Africa.
Distinguished figures participating in the college board of trustees.
Mr. Hassan Sultan Rizq, previous minister of youth and sport.
Dr. Gahzi Salah Al Deain
Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, Previous minister of foreign affairs.
Mr. Jmal Abd Al wali a well known business man.

Foreign relations of the College:
There is a cooperation agreement in all areas with the University of Tanta at Arab Republic of Egypt

The College has extended relations with the World health organization, the College dean is an advisor for the world health organization.

The College has good relations with the Royal College of sergeants, Edinburgh – Scotland.

The College sent some of its students to train at the Arabic center for dentistry, Amman – Jordan.

The College has relations with Riyadh College of Dentistry and pharmacy in Saudi Arabia.

The College has good relations with Dentistry College at the University of Alexandria.

The College Chancellor and it is deans were presidents for some secretaries of the Union of Arab Dentist, and they have good relations with the league of Arab states.

The College has communications with Higher education institutes in south of Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya and Tunisia.

The College has also communications with the University of London and the American university of Pennsylvania.

The College has students from the Arab Republic of Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Palestine and some of holders of the British citizenship.

Conclusion:
Since the beginning of the study in the College, the College carried the slogan of Academic excellence and discipline. For this slogan to be a reality the college followed the basic scientific and systematic planning which goes with the concept of modern university education.
